When Sydney Sock Project first heard about Thread Together, we were truly inspired by their work and the impact they were making in our community.
After a day volunteering with their team at the Bill Crews Foundation and seeing first hand the work they were doing, we decided to join their mission, to deliver new, good quality clothing and shoes to people in our community who are doing it tough.
Thread Together is the only organisation in Australia whose main mission and focus is to source new and excess clothing from fashion retailers and redistribute items to those in our communities that need it most. In five years they have distributed over $8 million worth of new clothing to people in our community.
We took inspiration from this, and also their beautiful, colourful van design and created a sock. But not any regular sock, a sock that provides a wardrobe of new clothing to someone who need it. A sock that provides someone with choice, dignity and hope for a better future.
Our Thread Together Sock SOLD OUT just 6 days after it's launch, but it will be available again very soon. For every pair purchased, 1 person is provided with a full new wardrobe of clothing.
