6 Children Sponsored for 1 Year
Our recent collaboration with Books in Homes Australia has kicked off to a great start over 2019 and the beginning of 2020. We are pleased to announce that 6 children in rural NSW have been provided ONE YEARS worth of educational supplies through the Books in Homes Primary Program.
What is the focus of the Program?
The program aims to break the education inequality found in remote and Indigenous communities where resources are scarce and generational poverty prevalent.
The program provides nine books-of-choice per year for each student in a participating primary school. In the case of Sydney Sock Project, Brungle Primary School in rural NSW. Students take these beloved books home to build their personal libraries. This links early learning back to each child's home, independent of the actual participating school, and helps foster self-driven learning, fun and a connection of book.
The criteria for participating schools is that they are located in a socio-disadvantaged area, and have an ICSEA of under the national average of 1000.
We would like to thank all of our amazing supporters that have chosen to place their donation towards supplying education to disadvantaged children in Australia.
